Facilities

YMCA Taunton has a range of sporting facilities for community use.

Our climbing hall opened on 9th February 2026. Public sessions for beginners and experienced climbers are available as well as private hire.

Our 3G artificial grass pitch is perfect for 5 a side football and is fitted with floodlights so play is still possible during the winter months.

Our meeting rooms start from just £15ph. Flexible multi use rooms for meetings, parties, workshops or sporting activities.

Our dance studio has a wooden floor and mirrors on one wall and is suitable for dance practice, exercise classes, meetings or workshops.

Our squash court is available to hire in 40 minute slots and we offer a cheaper rate for daytime use before 5pm.

Our versatile Sports Hall has a wide range of uses including: badminton, short tennis, basketball, exercise classes and sports group practice.

YOUTH CLUBS

We have two youth clubs for primary and secondary ages and a young carers group that meet each week.

As Logan McKelvie prepares to leave YMCA Taunton to return to New Zealand with his family, we want to take this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary contribution he has made during his time with us.

Connor Franks will be joining us as our new Climbing Instructor. Connor brings a wealth of experience in climbing, mountaineering, and youth development.
Refugee Week 2026
As Refugee Week is celebrated across the UK, YMCA Taunton was delighted to welcome a group of young people from CHARIS Refugees for an afternoon of activities and friendship.
