This week, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Konrad, who has been part of the YMCA Taunton family since childhood.
From his early days in our youth club and karate sessions to stepping up as a Young Volunteer, he has truly grown with us and worked on reception, in preschool and in our holiday activities sessions.
His YMCA journey continued with a work experience placement as part of his college T Levels course, and we were thrilled to offer him a part-time role in September 2021 while he pursued his IT degree. Watching him develop his skills and gain valuable experience has been a privilege.
We are delighted to have supported Konrad with employment and transferable skills, enabling him to secure full-time career employment. It’s been fantastic to see his growth, and we know he’ll go on to achieve great things.

Now, as he moves on to full-time employment, we couldn’t be prouder. It’s been fantastic to see how the skills and experiences he gained with us have supported him in securing this exciting new chapter.
Konrad, we’ll miss you, but we know you’re destined for great things. Thank you for all you’ve given to YMCA Taunton over the years—you’ll always be part of the family.
Wishing you all the success and happiness in your next adventure!
